SaaS

Definition

What is SaaS?

SaaS stands for Software as a Service. It is a delivery model for software applications where the provider hosts the software and makes it available to customers over the internet, rather than customers having to install and maintain the software on their own computers or servers.

Examples of SaaS?

Examples of SaaS (Software as a Service) include popular web-based applications like Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud, Dropbox and Google Apps. These services enable users to access software and applications online, eliminating the need to install programs and updates on their own computers.
